1648 – Northumberland Co, VA created

1651 – Lancaster Co, VA established from Northumberland and York Counties, VA

1654 – New Kent Co, VA was established from York Co, VA

1656 – Rappahannock Co, VA formed from part of Lancaster Co, VA.  Became extinct in 1692.

1691 – King and Queen Co, VA was established from New Kent Co, VA

1692 – Essex Co, VA was established from the old Rappahannock Co, VA

1702 – King William Co, VA was formed out of King & Queen Co, VA

1721 – Spotsylvania Co, VA was established from Essex, King and Queen and King William Counties, VA

1734 – Orange Co, VA created from Spotsylvania Co, VA

1738 – Augusta Co, VA formed from Orange Co, VA

1751 – Joseph Bevins born in Belfast, Ireland

1770 – Joseph Bevins immigrated to the Colonies
1770 – Botetourt Co, VA formed from Augusta Co, VA

1772 – Fincastle Co, VA formed from Botetourt Co, VA

1776 – Washington Co, VA formed from Fincastle Co, VA
1776 – Kentucky Co, VA was created from Fincastle Co, VA.

1777 – Montgomery Co, VA formed from Fincastle Co, VA

1780 – Fayette Co, KY was created from Kentucky Co, VA.

1784 – Joseph Bevins & Mary Annie Noblett married in Grayson Co, VA {this must actually be Montgomery County}

1785 – Bourbon Co, VA was created from Fayette Co, KY (then in VA).

1786 – Russell Co, VA formed from a section of Washington Co, VA.

1788 – Thomas Bevins born in Russell Co, VA.

1789 – Mason Co, KY was established

1790 – Wythe Co, VA formed from Montgomery Co, VA

1792 – State of Kentucky separated from Virginia.

1793 – Grayson Co, VA founded from Wythe Co, VA
1793 – Clark Co, KY founded.  Previously known as Bourbon Co, VA.

1796 – Montgomery Co, KY was established from Clark Co, KY

1798 – Fleming Co, KY was established from Mason Co, KY.

1799 – Floyd Co, KY was made from parts of Fleming, Montgomery, and Mason Co, KY

1807 – Thomas Bevins & Elizabeth Porter married in Pike Co, KY {actually was Floyd Co, KY}

1817 – James Bevins was born in Kentucky.

1821 – Pike Co, KY was founded from Floyd Co, KY

1824 – Joseph Bevins died in Pike Co, KY

1836 – James Bevins married Mary “Polly” Pinson in Pike Co, KY

1844 – John W Bevins born in Kentucky.

1847 – Thomas Bevins died in Pike Co, KY.
